Driver Academy
The Goldstar Driver Academy is currently accepting applications!
It’s time to take your Category C licence to the next level.
A HGV Cat C+E licence permits you to drive a vehicle weighing over 7.5t, with a detachable or a separate trailer. This licence is also referred to as Class 1 Licence.
Our Driver Academy offers 1 to 1 training with one of our qualified NRI Instructors in a dedicated training vehicle. They will provide you with all the skills you need to pass with flying colours.
If you’ve already got your Category C and you’re ready to step up to C+E, then Goldstar Driver Academy is where you want to be.
How it Works
We’re offering you the chance to upgrade your licence in as little as 1 week.
We’ll give you all the tools you need to get your C+E licence.
You’ll get a guaranteed job at the end of your training along with all the benefits of full-time, direct employment and secure, regular hours.
What Happens Next
Subject to a successful application, telephone interview and assessment, suitable dates for your training will be selected.
The Driver Academy course will last 4 to 5 days, depending on your driving ability, and once your training is complete, you will be ready to take your HGV Category C+E test.
Once you have passed your test, you will become part of our 2-week Goldstar mentoring programme, before returning for your final assessment and getting out on the road as a fully-fledged Goldstar Driver.
Mentoring
Everybody knows that you don’t truly start driving until you’ve passed your test. So, why would getting your C+E Licence be any different?
That’s why we created the Goldstar Mentoring Programme.
You’ll be supported by an experienced Goldstar Driver to show you the ropes and how everything works here at Goldstar.
Cost
There will be an agreed repayment programme of £1,200 in total plus the cost of any re-tests.
Accommodation
There is accommodation available in Woolpit (subject to availability). Further details available upon request.
Deposit
Upon successful interview and a driving assessment, a deposit of £500 is required to secure your place in the academy. This will be subtracted from your repayment balance.
