What is off-dock container storage?

A container park is a secure compound offering container storage once your shipment has arrived in the UK, usually pre-distribution and transhipment. Is Off-Dock Container Unit Storage more expensive than storing on-Dock?

Storing on-dock can be expensive and restrictive. We developed our container park network to give our customers another option in the supply chain.

Container Parks have been part of our offering for over 12 Years – our newest container park at the mighty Port of Felixstowe docks opened at the beginning of 2022! Our storage solutions offer peace of mind that delays don’t have to mean dollars.

Where should I store my cargo and containers?

You know as well as we do that when it comes to storing your cargo, it’s all about location.

Goldstar offer premium off-dock storage services to commercial customers. Our conveniently situated storage locations provide a cost-efficient way to avoid quay rent charges on long term storage for both loaded and empty containers.

Our facilities have the capacity to store both empty and full containers at our depots across the UK. We also offer devanning and transhipment services. Goldstar have over 400 of our own containers that are available to rent enabling our customers to avoid container detention. 

Which Container Park will be best for my cargo?

Every single one of our depots has perimeter alarms, full CCTV and are available for both short-term and long-term storage. Storage at Woolpit container park allows 24-hour operations, offering our customers more flexibility than our competitors – your containers, when you want them.

All sites adhere to an optimised Traffic Management Plan, Risk Assessments and offer Safe Methods of Working, along with a limited number of reefer plug in points for reefer or chilled cargo.
