At Goldstar Transport, we take pride in supporting causes close to our hearts, and this year is no different. We are thrilled to announce our continued support for ‘THE REGENTS PARK PEDALLERS, who are gearing up to take on yet another challenge in aid of the Royal British Legion.
The team, comprising of Mick Cahill (Goldstar Peterborough Driver Rep), Geoff Martin, Chris Thomas, and Nick Wain, are no strangers to pushing their limits. These four friends share a bond that spans over three decades, starting when they first met at Regents Park Barracks.
After an epic 175-mile ride from Dover to Ypres, and back, in 2022, their collective efforts raised an impressive amount of over £10,000 for the Royal British Legion. Inspired by this success and motivated by the upcoming 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and The Battle of Normandy, they are now embarking on a new challenge. The Royal British Legion’s Pedal Normandy Beaches 2024 event involves riding 220 miles over three days, tracing the historic path of the D-Day Beaches – Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha, and Utah.
Goldstar Transport calls upon our friends and colleagues, as well as everyone else who has crossed paths with ‘THE REGENTS PARK PEDALLERS,’ to rally behind them once more. Let’s unite to help them achieve their ‘Team Goal’ of raising £10,000 for the Royal British Legion. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference in supporting the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country with utmost dedication. If you can’t donate, you can still share this link!
Steve Jones, General Manager had this to say: “Here at Goldstar we’re huge supporters of the Royal British Legion and couldn’t be prouder of this team for all their incredible fundraising. Join us in honouring the sacrifice made by those who fought in both World Wars and supporting the valuable work of the Royal British Legion.”
