Supporting Four Middle-aged, Middleweight, Chaps on Bikes

Goldstar Transport is proud to support the four middle-aged, middleweight, chaps that are gearing up to take on the Etape Caledonia on May 14th 2023. The cycling event will take them through a gruelling 85 miles of Scottish hills, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The team is hoping to raise much-needed funds for the organisation, which is currently providing support to our friend, James.

James’ journey with cancer began when he noticed a lump in his right armpit. What followed have been many doctor’s appointments and tests, ultimately leading to his diagnosis of Low Grade Non-Hodgkin Follicular Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. Despite being diagnosed at stage 4, James remains determined and positive, with a treatment plan already in place.

Throughout this difficult time, James has found unwavering support from Macmillan Cancer Support. The organisation provides a wide range of support to people living with cancer, from practical and financial assistance to emotional support. Macmillan has always held a special place in James’ heart, as they also supported his family during his mother’s battle with cancer.

At Goldstar Transport, we are extremely proud to have James as a member of our team. He is a dedicated and hardworking colleague and it’s inspiring to see his resilience and determination. We are honoured to be able to contribute to the fundraising effort for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Chaps the very best of luck for the event. We are proud to be supporting such a worthy cause that has been so instrumental in many people’s journey with cancer.

They urge everyone to “dig deep” and donate generously, while remembering to gift aid their donations, and together, we can all make a difference and help support those affected by cancer.
