On the 28th of September, an intrepid team of six from Goldstar Transport Limited will be taking on the mighty Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. They will be climbing the three tallest peaks across Scotland, England, and Wales, all within a 24-hours —a huge test of endurance, teamwork, and determination.
Craig Clark, Tom Veale, Matt Poxon, Alex Taylor, Alex Butcher, and Daniel Barnes are taking on this epic endeavour to raise funds for the incredible work GOSH does in caring for critically ill babies, children, and young people.
The challenge will begin early Saturday morning with the ascent of Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest peak, standing at 1,345 meters. From there, the team will drive south to tackle Scafell Pike in England, which reaches 978 meters, and finally, they will take on Eryri (Snowdon) in Wales, standing at 1,085 meters. The goal is to complete all three climbs by Sunday morning, navigating rugged terrains and unpredictable weather conditions, all within the tight timeframe of just one day.
All funds raised will support Great Ormond Street Hospital, the world-renowned institution dedicated to providing vital care for children with rare and complex diseases. The GOSH Charity is committed to giving seriously ill children the best possible chance at life by funding groundbreaking research, advanced medical equipment, and essential support services for families facing their darkest moments.
While this challenge will be tough, it’s nothing compared to the daily battles faced by the children and families GOSH supports, and your donations will directly contribute to these life-saving efforts.
